The Museum of Peppatown, or Peppatown Natural History Museum, is a museum in Peppatown with displays about the Middle Ages, dinosaur times and space. In Mateusz11113's fanon, there is a section about dinosaurs, ancient Egypt and ancient Greece. In the upstairs, there is about ancient romans, the Middle Ages, the olden War times and space. In Percyloveseverything's fanon, statues of Kangaroo 10's creatures are also here. It was built in 1860's when the Peppahamlette was abandoned.
History[]
An older museum stood on the site of the current museum. Known today only as Myra Abogole's museum, it was built in 1827 and was abandoned after the death of Myra Abogole in 1834; it burnt down in 1837. Many of the items on display at Myra Abogole's museum are now on display at the Museum of Peppatown.
History addict Pene Paul Larson (1835-1925) has a huge collection of ancient Peppish artefacts but had nowhere to store them so, in 1861, Larson decided to build a museum to house his collections. It was then known as the Pene Larson Museum and Larson became the first curator until his death in 1925. His collection included artefacts as old as c.900, from pre-Paraswine sites near Yelltis Castle.
The name was changed to Peppatown Natural History Museum in 1910, when the collection was expanded to add dinosaurs, the Peppahamlette living museum and Windy Castle.
The museum was damaged by fire on July 27, 1953 and the museum remained closed until the repairs were completed in 1959.
The rare Peppish Mud Gem was re-added to the museum collection on October 15, 2018, after being stolen in 1935. It was returned to Peppaland in 2013 but it was held in custody by the police until 2018. The newest artefact to the collection is the Gröna Diamond, being added on May 27, 2020.
