The PTX was a Pony DVR that played PlayTerminal and PlayTerminal 2 games.
It was released in Ireland on December 13, 2003. Since it was designed to be a general-purpose consumer video device, it was marketed by the main Pony Corporation instead of Pony Computer Entertainment. Its high cost resulted in poor sales, meaning that the PTX was never released outside Ireland.
